chalkline is a simple online whiteboard for sketches, notes, images, and AI-assisted teaching boards — with cloud saves and Pro from $5/mo.
What are the Trial, Free, and Pro plans?
Trial (14 days after signup): unlimited projects/boards and 3 AI generates/day. Free after trial: 2 projects, 5 boards, 1 AI/day. Pro: unlimited creates, 15 AI/day, $5/mo or $48/yr.
Is chalkline free?
Yes after the trial, with caps: 2 projects, 5 boards, and 1 AI board generate per day. Subscribe to Pro to remove create caps and raise AI to 15/day.
Is chalkline a Miro alternative?
For personal sketching and tutoring boards, yes — chalkline is a lighter, cheaper whiteboard. For enterprise workshops and huge template ecosystems, Miro may still fit better.
Can I generate boards with AI?
Yes. Paste notes or upload PDFs, add a brief, and generate PPT-style teaching frames. Daily limits: 1 on Free, 3 on Trial, 15 on Pro (UTC day).
Does chalkline work in the browser?
Yes. It is a web app — no desktop install. Sign up, create a project, and open a board.
Can I share a board?
Yes. Invite links let people sign up and view as a viewer. You can also publish a board publicly at /b/… for SEO — no signup required to view.
What is a public board?
A public board is indexable on the web. It appears in the sitemap and on /boards. Private boards stay invite-only. Toggle this from Share on any board you own.
